Returns, refunds & warranty
Your rights under Australian Consumer Law
You are entitled to a repair, replacement or refund if a product is faulty or defective, is not of acceptable quality, is unsafe, or does not match its description. These rights sit alongside everything below and are never limited by it.
Change-of-mind returns
We accept change-of-mind returns within 30 days of delivery or collection for unused items in original condition with all packaging, tags, manuals and accessories. Bats that have been knocked in or used, and helmets or protective gear that has been worn, cannot be returned for change of mind.
Not returnable unless faulty: customised or personalised products, gift cards, clearance items, and opened hygiene items such as mouthguards and abdominal guards.
How to return
- Email info@elitecricketacademy.com.au with your order number and the item; we issue a return authorisation.
- Bring the item to Hoppers Crossing or Pakenham, or post it to the address we give you.
For faulty or damaged items we cover the return shipping. For change of mind, return shipping is at your cost and the original delivery fee is not refunded unless the law requires it.
Refunds and exchanges
Approved refunds go back to the original payment method within 5–10 business days of the item reaching us. We don't do direct swaps: return the item for a refund or store credit and place a new order for what you need. Report damage in transit within 7 days of delivery, with photos, so we can replace or refund.
Bat warranty
Cricket bats carry a 12-month manufacturer's warranty against manufacturing defects, offered as a goodwill arrangement. A damaged bat is returned to the manufacturer for assessment and repair, which typically takes about 10 working days; if it cannot be repaired the manufacturer may replace it at its discretion. Keep your proof of purchase (receipt or bank statement).
Not covered: yorker damage to the toe; tapping or sliding cracks; surface damage from inadequate knocking-in or improper play; damage from moisture, extreme heat or misuse (such as striking stumps); and damage from non-leather or composite balls. Excessive use of bowling-machine balls may void the warranty. Other brands' warranties follow the manufacturer's terms.
Chennai Direct items
Items shipped from our Chennai store are sold by Elite Cricket Academy and Sports Gear Private Limited. Your Australian Consumer Law rights still apply. Because exchanges would cross borders, contact us first: the simplest remedy is usually a replacement with your next shipment or a credit at either Melbourne store.
